How to Win at Craps

The best odds

Craps is a game of chances so for you to win you need to focus on the best odds that the game can provide.

Craps odds give you the chance to play even with the house, if it is well analysed the house will never have the edge over you.

There are 40 bets that can be done in Carps and these are the most popular and the ones that bring the odds to the house:

Number 7 has 16, 66%; Number 11 has 16, 66% ; Place Bets has 1, 51% ; Buy Bets has 4, 76% ; Hard Ways has a 9 to 1 if the bet is on 6 or 8 with 9,09% and 7 to 1 on 4 or 10 with 11,11%; Pass line has 1,414% ;Don't Pass line has 1,402% ;Come bets and Don't come bets has the same percentage as the Pass and Don't pass; The field has 5,55% ;Any Craps has 11,11% ; Big 6 and 8 has 9,09%

Since each throw of the dice is unique, systems can't predict anything, specially the next throw. It is important that you understand the passline. Passline is a bet that is done before the shooter begins his throw, if he gets a 7 or 11 you win with him but if he gets a 2, 3 or 12 then you lose with him. Now to apply the Craps Odds he has to roll 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 to achieve a point.

If now you are on this situation, you have the opportunity to reduce the advantage of the house by odd betting. The odd bet consists on placing a bet behind your original passline bet. Now if the shooter does his point, you will get paid even money for your passline and you'll get additional money to be paid the true odds for you. If the point drawn by the shooter is 4 or 10 you'll get paid 2 to 1; if the point is 5 or 9 you'll get paid 3 to 2 and if the point is 6 or 8 you will get 6 to 5. There are some casinos that allow you to take double crap odds on the passline, for example, if you bet $ 50 and you got the chance to odd bet you can do it for $ 100. Always take odds when you have the opportunity to do so.

The house has a edge if the passline has a single odds bet, it will get 0,85% of advantage, but with double odds the edge is just 0,61%. Sometimes the player is allowed to take 3/4/5 times odds.

Meaning that if the point is 4 or 10 you can make 3 times the odds or if the point is 5 or 9 then you can take 4 times the odds and if the point is 6 or 8 you make 5 times the odds.

Always take odds when you have the opportunity to do so.
